PCS operates two 24hr Residential Treatment Level III Facilities for males ages 9-17 whom present Axis I and Axis II Diagnosis. These diagnoses can include youth with behavioral difficulties (aggressive behavior, substance abuse, sexual aggression, and other antisocial behavior), emotional difficulties (post traumatic stress disorder, depression, psychosis) and some Axis II diagnoses such as mild mental retardation, profound learning disorder, and pervasive developmental disorder. Most consumers admitted into PCS facilities are removed from home to a community based residential setting in order to facilitate treatment in a staff secure setting. PCS operates 2 Level II facilities for both male and females that meet NC state criteria for Level II and Foster Care services. Primary care Solutions realizes that not all clients are successful in Therapeutic Foster Care and residential services may be a better solution for a particular consumers treatment.
