Aaron Hernandez murder trial resumes with note from juror
FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — The Massachusetts judge presiding over the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez says she has received a note from a juror.
Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh began Friday’s session by mentioning the note, but she did not announce what it said. She called prosecutors, the defense and Hernandez up to the bench for a sidebar conference to discuss it.
Sixteen people remain on the jury, including four alternates. Two jurors have previously been dismissed from the trial, which started in January.
Hernandez is charged with murder in the June 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancee. Lloyd’s body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home in North Attleborough.
