Shortstop Jose Iglesias is set to play one inning when Detroit hosts Florida Southern. He missed all of last season because of stress fractures in both legs. Iglesias hit a combined .303 for Boston and the Tigers in 2013.

We’ll hear if Alex Rodriguez is scheduled to play for the New York Yankees in their exhibition opener Tuesday vs. Philadelphia. Manager Joe Girardi said he’ll make the announcement Monday. A-Rod was suspended last year for violations that included drugs.
