PCS Operates two licensed 5600 Supervised Living sites that provides transitional services for males and females between the ages of 18 and 21 years of age who are aging out of Level III and Level IV treatment and are in continuing need of therapeutic residential services in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Services will be rendered for a minimum daily capacity of four (4) males and four (4) females with Serious Emotional Disturbances (CMSED) and/or Major Mental Illnesses (AM-SPMI) in conjunction with a co-existing substance abuse or chemically dependency diagnosis. These diagnoses can include consumers with behavioral difficulties (aggressive behavior, substance abuse, sexual aggression, and other antisocial behavior), emotional difficulties (post traumatic stress disorder, depression, psychosis) and some Axis II diagnoses such as personality disorders and borderline intellectual functioning. PCS will accept any potential consumer who maintains the desire to utilize the program to improve their overall quality of life. Individuals accepted into the program must also demonstrate the willingness to commit to the program’s guiding principles by signing a Contract for Participation which includes criteria for unplanned discharge.
