Jets finalize deal to bring Darrelle Revis back ‘home’

NEW YORK (AP) — Darrelle Revis says it was a “no-brainer” to come back “home” to the New York Jets, and looks forward to possibly delivering the franchise a Super Bowl title.

Revis signed a five-year contract worth $70 million, with $39 million fully guaranteed, on Wednesday night — about 24 hours after agreeing to the deal with the Jets. During a conference call, the All-Pro cornerback says the last two or three years of his career have been “crazy,” capped last season by winning the Super Bowl with New England.

The Patriots declined a $20 million option for 2015, making him a free agent.

Revis played his first six seasons with the Jets before being traded to Tampa Bay in 2013, and then signing with New England as a free agent last offseason.
