Wolves fans scoop up 1K free tickets from KG in 3 minutes
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Big Ticket is becoming a hot ticket for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The team says Wolves fans gobbled up 1,000 free tickets provided by Kevin Garnett for Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers in less than three minutes.
Garnett announced on Sunday that he was buying those upper level tickets for fans as a show of appreciation for the outpouring of support he has received from them after being reacquired in a trade from Brooklyn two weeks ago. They became available on Monday morning, with each successful fan being able to claim two free tickets to the game.
The Target Center has been sold out for both of Garnett’s home games since he rejoined the Wolves.
